My name is Birsen .
I live in Antalya , Side , Turkey . I studied electronic Engineering and worked for over 30 years as a Computer Programmer.
The more I learn about this craft, the more I understand how deep gourd art can go, so much involved, so many things to learn and do. Gourds are such a unique, organic material, you always work with something new, each gourd is different, every single time.
I love crafting a work of art from what nature has created. You can do so much with gourds, but I am mostly interested in making lamps.
